Senior Property Manager – George

Requirements

  • More than 5 years’ experience in Commercial Property Management
  • A relevant degree or diploma will be advantageous
  • Based at our George office, 48 York Street
  • Willingness to travel — total travel time may exceed 10 weeks per year
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Good customer service orientation
  • Salary: R25,000 – R40,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and managing property budgets
  • Marketing properties through advertising, viewings, and referral networks
  • Interviewing prospective tenants and conducting credit checks
  • Setting rental rates and negotiating and enforcing lease agreements
  • Addressing tenant complaints and inspecting vacated units
  • Coordinating and overseeing repairs and maintenance work
  • Collecting rent, managing arrears, and handling operating expenses
  • Maintaining accurate records of income, expenses, signed leases, complaints, and maintenance
  • Preparing financial performance reports on managed properties
  • Terminating leases and initiating eviction proceedings where necessary
