Preparation of audit working papers

Capturing and maintaining clients’ accounting records

Interpreting accounting records to compile financial statements (IFRS for SMEs)

Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements

Performing intermediary audit procedures and review tests in accordance with BVSA practices

Ensuring compliance with IRBA and BVSA standards when executing assignments

Reconciling client financial information

Preparing and submitting SARS returns for clients

Compiling monthly management accounts and assisting with client advisory services

Assisting with stocktake planning and project management

Complying with all SAICA training contract requirements

Currently studying towards, or completed, a BCom Accounting (or equivalent) at a SAICA-accredited university

Strong academic record (Matric and tertiary results)

Commitment to completing the SAICA training programme (3–5 year training contract, depending on qualifications)

Proficient in Afrikaans and English

Computer literate with strong attention to detail

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
