We recently attended the Morningstar MICSA 2026 conference in
Cape Town, gaining valuable insights into investment advice
and management in a changing world.
Sessions explored global economic and geopolitical trends,
diversified investment strategies, cybersecurity and fraud
prevention. Discussions also highlighted how artificial
intelligence is reshaping investment opportunities and how
South Africa’s political landscape could influence business
and financial planning.
Turning the Tide
A standout was Adrian Hewlett’s closing address,
“Turning the Tide”, which shared practical lessons
from revitalising a struggling brand and building a
purpose-driven business. His insights emphasised thoughtful
decision-making, differentiation and lasting client value.
