SAICA Trainee Accountants – Grabouw

BVSA Grabouw, a leading accounting and advisory firm in the Western Cape, is seeking motivated
SAICA Trainee Accountants to join our team for the 2026 and 2027 intake.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing audit working papers
• Capturing and maintaining clients’ accounting records
• Interpreting accounting records to compile financial statements in terms of IFRS for SMEs
• Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements
• Performing intermediary audit procedures and review tests in accordance with BVSA practices
• Ensuring compliance with IRBA and BVSA standards when executing assignments
• Reconciling client financial information
• Preparing and submitting SARS returns for clients
• Compiling monthly management accounts and assisting with client advisory services
• Assisting with stocktake planning and project management
• Complying with all SAICA training contract requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Currently studying towards, or completed, a BCom Accounting degree or equivalent qualification at a SAICA-accredited university
• Strong academic record, including Matric and tertiary results
• Commitment to completing the SAICA training programme, being a 3–5 year training contract depending on qualifications
• Proficient in Afrikaans and English
• Computer literate with strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
